Bloomin' Lovely is a flower infused product range with an accompanying flower market situated in the heart of all Sainsbury's stores. Playing on the pre-existing of both stores, the range's tagline marries together both Sainsbury's 'Live Well for Less' and Bloom&Wild's 'Care Wildy' taglines; creating 'Live Wildly'. Wanting to give the range a fun, quirky and homemade feel, I decided to show just how much flora and fauna can be used, by lino printing with them to show the patterns they could make for the packaging designs. The colour palette was incredibly important, wanting to follow the rules of food packaging by making the colours correlate with the flower inside. Due to the flowers naturally having beautiful colours, I based my palette picks from the flowers with earthy tones to show just how organic the range is. To keep the spirit of the range, I merged a few prints together to create patterns for the packages, giving a quirky feel overall. Adding 'plant hero' stickers to make sure Bloom&Wild has fair ownership in the collaboration, this adds to the homemade feel - giving names of the workers who would pick the dried flowers for the specific products. I added small pops of copywriting where I could, such as 'don't stop be-leafing' or 'we aren't dande-lying to you' to again add to the spirit of the range and both brands. Longevity was important to convey, adding tote bags for the market feel, as well as recipe cards to instigate adding flora and fauna to everyday life, not just in the weekly shop.
